Bangalore, 21 July 2025: Bangalore’s beloved Chinese restaurant, Hunaaan, is making some big moves to please its patrons. After nearly 18 years of successfully winning people over with their pan-Asian preparations, the restaurant is launching its second outpost at Indiranagar, with an all-new look and feel. And don’t you worry, the authenticity of their taste and flavours won’t change.
Hunaaan’s beginning story goes back to 2008. But it was their then 2nd outlet at BEL road that turned into a flagship store, soaring their popularity across the city.
Braving through the tough times in the pandemic, they are back once again with a brand new and bold look in Indiranagar.
The menu is expanding to include new trends and preferences. From healthy salads and soups to popular Korean dishes, there’s a variety to choose from. Try the Signature Hunan Salad with Creamy miso dressing, Asian Cold Silken Tofu Salad, Miso Soup, Crabmeat Soup; there’s an option to order veg and non-veg dimsum platters; try out the Sashimi Sushis or famous Uramaki, which has the ingredients reversed like an inside-out roll. Kimbap, a Korean dish rolled in rice, is also on the menu, served in veg, cheese, tuna, chicken and pork options. A range of small plates consists of Hunaaan Baby Potato, Thai Lemon Basil Tofu, Chilli Pepper Mushrooms, Kung Pao Chicken, Hunaaan Chicken Lettuce Wraps, Prawn Tempura, Singapore Soft Shell Chilli Crab and more. For the main course, you can opt for big plates like Vegetable in Chilli Basil/Sichuan Sauce, Vegetable Dumplings in Hot Garlic or Guangdong Chicken, Tianjin Lamb or General Tao’s Chicken. To complement the spice, there are non-alcoholic beverages available too.
The menus keep evolving to incorporate more flavours from Asia. The wide variety thus ensures you’re back to try something new on your next visit. From the food quality, ingredient sourcing, and attention to detail in recipes, everything has been maintained to keep up with the standards. If you’d picture a Chinese food establishment with typical red lanterns, dim lights, traditional flags and decor. Hunaaan’s structure refreshes that. It is upmarket, chic, with light colours, earthy designs and interiors that strike a balance between fine dining and casual comfort.
If you’d picture a Chinese food establishment with typical red lanterns, dim lights, traditional flags and decor. Hunaaan’s new chapter refreshes that. The 40-seater space pays tribute to Asian sensibilities without being overly representational. So, as you enter from the foyer, you’ll experience a sensory explosion of aromas and sizzling sounds from a live cooking bar. The dining section has pinewood and poplin fabric screens inspired by rice paper, contrasted by mellow sheer blinds. The narrow beam lights put the food presentation in focus, while natural materials like grey limestone, dark wood elements, and pinewood rafters provide a rustic counterbalance. The chic interiors strike a balance between fine dining and casual comfort.
With this brand new outlet in Indiranagar, Hunaaan is answering the call of loyal patrons who’ve waited patiently for its doors to open, once again. After a long wait, the return of this Chinese kitchen is sure to feel more like a homecoming for anyone who loves and misses eating authentic Chinese food in the city.
Date: 30th June Onwards
Venue: Hunaaan, Indiranagar, bangalore
