Chennai, Jan 12: Reinforcing its commitment to environmental stewardship and responsible citizenship, Ample Group conducted a beach clean-up drive at Besant Nagar Beach, Chennai. The initiative focused on restoring a key stretch of the coastline by reducing waste, protecting marine ecosystems, and contributing to the long-term cleanliness of this highly frequented public space.
The drive reflects Ample Group’s belief that sustainability must move beyond intent to visible, on-the-ground action. By mobilizing team members across levels, the initiative highlighted an integrated approach where leadership, participation, and accountability converge to create meaningful impact.
Beginning at the Karl Schmidt Memorial at Besant Nagar Beach, 140 Ample volunteers united with a shared purpose of community and environmental stewardship, collectively clearing 521.67 kilograms of mixed dry and wet waste. This effort helped create safer conditions for marine life, particularly during the ongoing turtle nesting season when clean sand is essential. Guided by the motto “Small Effort = Big Impact,” the drive achieved in just 45 minutes what would typically take over 105 hours.
The presence of senior leadership further reaffirmed the organization’s emphasis on sustainability as a strategic priority, embedded within its broader CSR and ESG framework. Through such initiatives, Ample continues to align business responsibility with community and environmental well-being.
Sustainability is not an isolated effort. It is a shared responsibility that calls for conscious, consistent action,” said Neha Jindal, CMO, Ample Group. “At Ample, we recognize that sustainability requires intent, learning, and commitment over time. This beach clean-up is a step in that direction, reflecting our belief that organisations must play a thoughtful role in caring for the communities and environments they are part of, as we continue our journey toward meaningful, long-term impact.”
Besant Nagar Beach was selected for its environmental significance and high public footfall. The initiative was carried out in coordination with relevant authorities and environmental partners to ensure responsible waste handling and adherence to environmental guidelines.
As part of its ongoing CSR and ESG commitments, Ample Group continues to expand initiatives focused on environmental conservation, community engagement, and sustainable practices by driving impact that goes beyond business and contributes positively to society at large.
