Two Prestigious Awards Conferred Upon S M Sehgal Foundation
S M Sehgal Foundation received the EUTECH SDG Award in the SDG 1: No Poverty category for empowering smallholder farmers in India through sustainable farming. The virtual ceremony honoured efforts advancing the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. The EUTECH SDG Awards recognize exceptional contributions by organizations worldwide that are working on 17 SDGs, celebrating innovation and commitment to a sustainable future.
Ms. Pooja O. Murada, principal lead,Outreach for Development accepted the award on behalf of the organization. This recognition sheds light on the foundation’s dedication to working with rural communities through innovative and sustainable solutions in water management and agriculture development.
On the same day, S M Sehgal Foundation was honoured with the Silver Plaque under the Development Catalyst 2.0 initiative by ACCESS Development Services at an event held in New Delhi. This award celebrates the foundation’s over two decades of impactful contributions to rural development. Enhancing this recognition, the foundation was also featured in a coffee table book unveiled during the event.
