Pune(S.N): ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India), a joint venture between ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel, today announced the commercial availability of Optigal®, a world-class colour-coated steel brand, in Maharashtra.AM/NS India hosted a convention in Pune for channel partners across the state, where Optigal®’s features, including the longest warranty of up to 25 years, superior corrosion resistance and cutting-edge protection, were highlighted. The meeting also facilitated open dialogue, knowledge sharing, and discussions on market trends and future opportunities.

AM/NS India currently has a colour-coated capacity of approximately 700,000 tonnes, with plans to ramp up this capacity to one million tonne by 2026. With the expansion, the company’s market share is projected to grow from 20-22% today to 25-27%.Previously available only in international markets, AM/NS India commenced the production of ArcelorMittal patented Optigal® using a unique Zinc-Aluminium-Magnesium technology in India earlier this year.
