DPS RN Extension celebrated the 10th International Day of Yoga on Friday, June 21, 2024, amidst a gathering of over 50 enthusiastic staff members and more than 100 participants who joined the event online. Themed ‘Yoga for Self and Society’, the celebration showcased various Yogic techniques and practices aimed at promoting the physical and mental well-being of students and parents alike.
The event unfolded in the serene ambience of the school auditorium, featuring Common Yoga Protocol by the Ministry of AYUSH and the subtle and profound practices of Dhirendra Bhramchari. Participants engaged in partnered balancing Yogasanas, entertaining Yoga challenges and a quiz based on the session’s teachings. DPSRNE’s proficient Yoga instructors, Mrs. Veenu Soni and Dr. Bhawna Bhatia, led the meticulously planned session.
Ms. Pallavi Upadhyaya, Principal of DPS RN Extension, emphasized, “The event underscored Yoga’s role in enhancing physical and mental health and inculcated a spirit of positivity and unity among our community. We aim to integrate regular yoga sessions into our curriculum and organize frequent workshops and seminars to further enhance our students’ and faculty’s health and wellness. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Yoga Department for their dedication in organizing this memorable celebration.”
