Tadepalli, Andhra Pradesh, October 29: From a total of 1,059 medical procedures inducted under YSR Aarogyasri during May 2019, the government has been making it a top priority as part of its efforts to provide quality healthcare to the masses by enhancing the number of medical treatments under the scheme, every year. This year, the government has decided to further enhance the number of medical procedures under YSR Aarogyasri scheme from the existing 2,446 medical procedures to a total of 3,225.
The government has spent a total of Rs. 6000 Cr on Aarogyasri in the last 3 years and with the new set of additions, the govt is set to spend 3 times more than the existing expenditure.The CM further directed the health officials on the following:
-Revamping the website of Dr. YSR Aarogyasri Trust.
-Strengthening of Aarogyasri Referral services through 104 call centres.
-Ensure put up hoardings in Network Hospitals and all Village Health Clinics
-Preparation and Distribution of Information Booklets on New 3255 procedures / Network Hospitals &Aarogya Mithras.
Treatment for Road Accident Victims under Dr. YSR Aarogyasri
The government of Andhra Pradesh is providing Cashless treatment to Road Accident Victims under Dr. YSR Aarogyasri. This includes residents of states other than Andhra Pradesh. Transport Department has briefed CM, showcasing a growth of 10.16% in Motor Vehicle accident incidents from 2020 to 2021. As per the data available, on average, 108 Ambulances are attending around 8,000 cases of emergency. Further reviewing the rise of road accidents across the country, the CM directed the officials, stating that people from other states can also avail YSR Aarogyasri services in case of road accidents in the state. In case the victim is not a Aarogyasri card holder but belongs to AP (or) a citizen outside of AP State, the District Coordinator shall issue CMCO card after obtaining any other photo identity card such as an Aadhaar card.
