Kolkata, Aug 12: At Zee 5, India’s boldest stories come alive across every language. In Bangla, this commitment comes to life through Notun Banglar, Notun Golpo a distinctive expression of Zee 5’s belief in stories that challenge conventions, celebrate Bengal’s cultural identity and evolve with the changing tastes of its audiences. Anchored in this philosophy, Zee 5 unveiled its Bangla slate yet, bringing together iconic franchises, fresh stories, leading creative voices and new storytelling experiences across Movies, Series, Live Sports, AI-powered storytelling, Animation and Kids’ entertainment.

Through the slate, Bangla Zee 5 also announced new and continued collaborations with some of Bengal’s leading production houses, including Acropolis Entertainment, Surinder Films, Why So Serious?, Anjan Dutta Productions, Eye Wash Entertainment, Raj Chakraborty Entertainment and Vikram Chatterjee Films among others.
Building on the success of some of Zee 5 Bangla’s most celebrated originals, the slate sees the return of audience favourites including Lalbazaar 2 featuring Anirban Bhattacharya, directed by Shayantan Ghoshal; Shwetkali 2 starring Oindrila Sen and Surangana Banerjee, directed by Sani Ghosh Roy; Shikarpur 2 directed by Nirjhar starring Ankush; and Kaalipotka 2 directed by Abhirup Ghosh, starring Swastika, Shruti, Sheya and Himika and Mahaproloy starring Saswata Chatterjee and directed by Raj Chakraborty which will serve as a sequel to Abar Proloy 2.
Zee 5 Bangla is introducing a diverse new line-up of originals spanning crime thrillers, romance, comedy and contemporary drama, further expanding the platform’s storytelling universe. The slate includes – Aloor Dosh featuring Saurav Das, Satyam Bhattacharya, Sandipta directed by Joydip Banerjee; Taarkata starring Vikram Chatterjee, Priyanka Sarkar and Meiyang Chang; Prem Shots with Bonny Sengupta, Angana Roy, Shreya Gupto directed by Srimanta Senguptta; Osthir under the direction of Arjit Chakraborty, Priyo Bondhu directed by Neel Dutta & Anjan Dutta; Bakhtiyar er Swarnamudra; Nari Choritro Bejay Jotil starring Ankush and Oindrila; and Nibba Nibbi featuring Rishav Basu and Sauraseni Maitra. This reflects the platform’s continued focus on exploring new formats and enhancing the viewer experience.
Complementing this, Bangla Zee 5 is expanding its offering with a growing slate of AI-powered and animated stories that will be available in Bangla, including Garud – Ek Yodha Ki Gatha, Narmada Manasa Sundari, Vikram Betal, Shiv Sati – Ek Anant Prem Kahani, Param Sundari Chandrakanta, Tirupati Balaji, Ram Anjaney Yuddh and Aiyappan, alongside kids’ content such as Shivlok Ke Kundakka Mandakka. Further enriching the entertainment experience is a growing live sports portfolio featuring FIFA, Bundesliga and Coppa Italia, giving football fans in Bengal and sports enthusiasts access to some of the biggest sporting moments from across the world.
