Bengaluru, May 25: Bharat Bharati, an organization dedicated to national unity and cultural harmony, organized a grand “Women’s Bhajan Sandhya Competition” in Bengaluru The event was organized to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India. The program aimed to promote national unity and female talent through music, devotion, and cultural values.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Nagalakshmi Chaudhary, Chairperson of the Karnataka State Women’s Commission and social workers and Radha Kolli, and educationist and social activist Dr. Saraswati Hegde.
The jury of the competition included Dharmil Shah, Founder of Master of Music Academy, Bengaluru, Carnatic music expert. Dr.Sowmya Chawan. and Vidushi Vijaya Bhatt.
According to the organizing committee, various states, including Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Punjab, Odisha, West Bengal, Gujarat, and Bihar, were represented in the competition. The participating women sang hymns from different languages and cultural.
