Any meaningful reform must recognise their importance and ensure equal accountability across the entire development chain to truly safeguard homebuyers’ interests.
Contractors should be formally included within the RERA framework. While developers and channel partners operate under RERA’s transparency norms, the real on-ground transparency implementers are contractors. Bringing them under RERA will ensure stronger compliance, defined responsibility and enhanced protection for homebuyers.”
