Clinics adopting the technology also make significant investments in specialised equipment, which can cost several lakh rupees, contributing to the higher pricing.

Patients have also found the procedure easier to tolerate, particularly those who are sensitive to the scraping sensation associated with traditional cleaning methods, the clinic said.
