Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 10:  Kerala government-backed KFON OTT has crossed the milestone of 2,000 active connections within just four months of its launch, marking a strong early response to the service. Launched by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on August 21, 2025, the platform currently has 2,053 active users.

Introduced as part of KFON’s mission to ensure universal internet access, the OTT service integrates entertainment and knowledge on a single platform. KFON OTT offers access to over 29 OTT platforms and more than 350 digital TV channels, including a wide range of South Indian television channels and films, through a single subscription.

With subscription plans starting at ₹444, KFON OTT positions itself as a cost-effective and competitive alternative to private internet service providers.

Malappuram district leads in subscriber numbers, while the platform continues to receive a steady stream of enquiries every month. Officials said the rapid growth reflects the increasing public trust and acceptance of KFON OTT within a short period of time.
