Dec 24: The University of Worcester has opened final applications for the March 2026 intake of its BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing programme, with a January 2026 deadline for submissions. The intake comes at a time of sustained global demand for qualified healthcare professionals, making early application critical due to the programme’s competitive selection process.

Unlike the traditional September start, the March intake allows students to begin their nursing education earlier in the academic cycle while following the same accredited curriculum, clinical training standards, and structured placement model. Applicants are required to complete an interview as part of the admissions process.

The programme continues to attract strong interest from Indian students seeking internationally recognised nursing qualifications and structured clinical exposure within the UK’s healthcare system. The University of Worcester is well regarded for its focus on practical training and graduate outcomes in healthcare, with students completing supervised placements that align closely with NHS standards and workforce requirements.

To support Indian students applying for the upcoming intake, the University of Worcester offers merit-based scholarships of up to £3,000. Students who pay their tuition fees in full by 31 January 2026 are also eligible for an early payment discount of £500.

The programme is approved by the UK’s Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), a key regulatory requirement for nurse registration in the UK. This accreditation ensures graduates meet professional standards required by the NHS and other recognised healthcare systems internationally. Alongside academic study, students complete mandatory clinical placements with approved healthcare partners and receive skills training in simulated clinical environments designed to mirror real-world care settings.

The University of Worcester is the top multi-subject university in the UK for sustained employment, further study or both (Longitudinal Educational Outcomes 2017-2025) and was recently named a finalist for Times Higher Education’s University of the Year 2025 award – for the fourth time in a decade. This reflects the University’s emphasis on practice-led learning and structured industry exposure, supporting students as they transition from academic training into professional healthcare roles.

“At the University of Worcester, we know that studying nursing in a new country can feel challenging and exciting,” said Jodie Walker-Haywood, Senior Nursing Lecturer and Admissions & Recruitment Lead at the University of Worcester. “We are proud of our diverse student body, and from day one, we welcome students into a Nursing programme that prioritises your sense of belonging at the University as well as your identity as a healthcare professional. Our students study and learn in an inclusive learning environment with access to high-quality simulation facilities in our new clinical teaching building, as well as practice learning with regional healthcare providers. We look forward to welcoming you to a programme that is designed to help you grow not only as a skilled nurse, but as a confident and compassionate student and graduate.”

With applications for the March 2026 intake now in their final phase, prospective students are advised to factor in interview and regulatory requirements when planning their submissions. Further information on eligibility, scholarships, and application timelines is available at www.worcester.ac.uk
