Dec 12th: Apna, India’s leading jobs and careers platform, is enabling momentum for job seekers by widening access to jobs across key urban markets. Early jobseekers today are increasingly mobile-first, reflecting the shift in India’s service-led economy and the rising importance of on-the-move job searches. Building on its strong Android-led base of 6 crore jobseekers, Apna has expanded its reach to high-intent users across both major mobile ecosystems. In the past 30 days, Apna added 1.1 lakh users from the iOS ecosystem, creating a deeper pool of mobile-first talent in metro and emerging urban markets.
The broader access footprint has accelerated platform activity, driving a 28% rise in daily signups and a 26% increase in daily downloads over the past month. iOS users now contribute 15% of new signups across the top eight metros and 8% of national new signups, with Bengaluru, Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai accounting for 62% of early adoption. Apna also entered the Top 10 Job Search and Top 20 Business categories on the App Store, signalling strong traction within this audience. Apna continues to rank among the top-rated jobs apps on Android and is now seeing equally strong ratings on iOS. Apna, already the highest-rated job app on Android, is now among the top-rated job apps on iOS as well.
Kartik Narayan, CEO, Jobs Marketplace at Apna, said: “When we started Apna, the mission was to build for billions. With more than 6 crore people already using Apna on Android, extending our platform to serve users across both ecosystems allows us to reach India’s workforce more holistically. The early response has been encouraging, and these users are engaging meaningfully with our search and matching flows. As we refine our products, we expect this segment to contribute meaningfully to our growth and help more Indians access the right opportunities quickly and accurately.”
By complementing its dominant Android presence with access to India’s 1.5-2 crore working-age iOS users, Apna is positioning the expanded ecosystem as a key driver of its next phase of AI-led growth. The broadened reach deepens access to high-intent, mobile-first urban talent and strengthens overall application quality across the platform. With its 2026 roadmap focused on faster matching, richer application journeys and smoother hiring flows, Apna expects this expanded user base to unlock a new cohort of high-intent workers for businesses nationwide.
