Mumbai, Dec 10th: Greaves Electric Mobility (GEML), highly awarded for setting benchmarks in India’s electric mobility, has been recognised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) with two prestigious awards at the 25th CII Global Design and Exposition Summit 2025, reinforcing its position as a design-led innovative EV manufacturer shaping the future of sustainable mobility in and for India.
At this silver jubilee edition, GEML’s ‘Greaves Xargo’ secured the Silver Award under the CII Design Excellence Awards, while the ‘Ampere Xpress’ was recognised among the Top 100 Design List for the year 2025.
The award-winning Greaves Xargo is a next-generation electric 3-wheeler engineered to redefine utility and commercial mobility. With a payload capacity of 300 kg, 50 kmph top speed and 100 km+ real world range, this product offering from the stables of GEML is purpose built for urban logistics and high-frequency B2B service. Greaves Xargo comes equipped with IoT-enabled features and modular accessories for multiple commercial use cases, offering a thoughtful design which prioritises durability, rider comfort, operational efficiency and adaptability; making it a future-ready platform for India’s fast-growing micro-mobility and delivery economy.
Not to be outdone, GEML’s Ampere Xpress, called the “Swiss Army Knife of Scooters,” was featured among the Top 100 Good Design List, celebrating its versatility and rider-focused engineering. Its rugged design, modularity, and connected features have made it a preferred choice for the recognition. Capable to carry over 200 kg payload, 60 kmph top speed, flexible battery options and battery swapping compatibility, IoT connectivity and a 5-year or 75,000 km warranty for long-term reliability, makes it ideal for high-mileage mobility needs such as gig workers, delivery riders, and commercial fleet operators.
Both the Greaves Xargo and Ampere Xpress are concept vehicles first showcased at the Auto Expo 2025, where they received widespread appreciation for their progressive design and technology foresight. GEML’s dual win is a recognition of its design-first philosophy, where engineering, user experience, and sustainability converge to create mobility solutions built for India and benchmarked for the world. It also reflects Greaves Electric Mobility’s unwavering vision to build products and solutions that Outperform, Outlast & Outshine, while advancing India’s journey toward a sustainable, self-reliant, and inclusive mobility future.
